Infinity - Face to Face Dice Roll Examples

Just a quick post today, after spending a few moments scratching our heads at the weekend playing our first Infinity game I knocked together this quick sheet of examples for Face to Face dice rolls. In it's simplest guise you take the highest value from both sides performing the roll then cancel any of the opponents dice that are less than or equal to. Any remaining dice are declared as successful, this results in a one side wins or nothing happens outcome as it is not possible for both to hit. Anyway, see below for some more examples.

Roll 1

Player 1 has a higher roll than Player 2, both values are less than their respective BS attribute. Player 1 wins the roll with 1 success.

Roll 2

Player 2 has a higher roll than Player 1, both values are less than their respective BS attribute. Player 2 wins the roll with 1 success.

Roll 3

Both players have tied values and both values are less than their respective BS attribute. No successes.

Roll 4

Player 1's highest value is 10, Player 2's highest value is 7, Player 2's value of 7 is the same as Player 1's second dice so it is cancelled. Player 1 wins the roll with 1 success.

Roll 5

Player 1's highest value is 10, Player 2's highest value is 7, Player 2's value of 7 is the same as Player 1's second dice so it is cancelled but it is less than Player 1's third dice of 8. Player 1 wins the roll with 2 successes.

Roll 6

Player 1's highest value is 10, Player 2's highest value is 11 which is more than all of Player 1's dice. Player 2 wins the roll with 1 success.

Roll 7

Player 1's highest value is 10, Player 2's highest value is 8, Player 2's value of 8 is more than Player 1's second dice so it is cancelled but it is less than Player 1's third dice of 9. Player 1 wins the roll with 2 successes.

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.
